The Power of Tribute (Honor)

Mar 6:4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Every person and every thing that you honor in your life, you attract. That which you dishonor, you repel. We give honor to those whom it is due.

Yet, we know that in our society honor is given to thieves by thieves. There is an honor of sorts among thieves.

When a Christian gives honor, he needs to be wise and give honor only where it is due. Our honor is a weapon that is not to be wasted on the fleshly. Honor for those who have walked long with the Lord is edifying and an encouragement to them. It is a life giving force, to those who walk in wisdom.

The wise-hearted are they, which make up garments for the priest, that he might minister in his call. To make up garments in this day is to give him a covering to hold the anointing. We honor the anointing when we make up garments. To make up a garment is to give place, ability, and facility to hold the anointing.

Exd 28:3 And thou shalt speak unto all [that are] wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
